Daniel Boulton
aliveDaniel Boulton
Player: Diana Wynn On-screen character: Kip Fedora
Actor (Off-Screen, 2015)
~28. A chiseled nobody who is almost somebody. Always Suspect 2, Injured Cop, the multi-episode guest spot. Handsome, talented, lacks the charisma to be The Guy. Hungry. No serious relationships, no scandals.
Vibe: The hopeful one. Hasn't been chewed up yet. Skeletons: None — and that's almost the problem.
Actor Relationships
- Cory Vandermere: Treats Cory as a mentor. Asks about Orion's Edge a lot. Takes Cory's career advice as gospel. The cheat sheet warns: Daniel is going to start treating Cory like a kid he's responsible for — and the Keeper has a lever there.
On-Screen Character: Kip Fedora
Former FBI, fresh out of the academy. By the book. Obsessive. Smart, fit, thorough. Cannot fit in with the guys — chronically single, doting single mother, easily led astray socially but never by peer pressure. Doesn't know when he's being mocked. Thinks this assignment is a promotion. It's not. Determined to make the best of it.
Specialty: Procedure, real investigative skill, undermined by social blindness.
Notes
- Session 1: Succeeded on Computer Use to identify Kyle Alexander's vehicle (blue 2012 Nissan Altima) — Elias failed this same roll.
- Session 1: Found the numbered headstones (1–112) and the dug-up grave near the outbuilding.
- Session 1: Photographed Kyle's car at the scene.
- Session 2: Fast talked Sid Meyer (combined with Gus intimidation) to get access to the Starbucks security footage.
- Session 2: Reviewed the Gallery A camera footage — identified Amy heading downstairs 90 minutes after arrival.
- Session 2: Entered Gallery B without a sanity roll. Made of sterner stuff.
- Session 2: Landed the killing blow on Steve Blum.
- Session 2: Successful Psychoanalysis on Amy Langon — calmed her down after rescue.
- Session 2: Spoke with police, framing events as a kidnapping.
Bond Phase — Session 2
Action: Obsess. Result: −2 to all bonds.
Character Relationships
- Elias (Cory Vandermere): The only person on the team who treats Elias like a senior colleague. Elias finds this simultaneously useful and exhausting. Elias loops Kip into problems when nobody else will — Kip's procedural brain catches things Elias misses.
