Airshaft Symbol
foundAirshaft Symbol
A napkin taped to the inside of the airshaft vent in Abigail Wright's apartment, found by Palmer after he pulled the grate off (Session 5). It bears the recurring symbol — rendered in rough rust/brown strokes.

It Is the Rooftop Symbol — and It Costs Sanity
This is the **same sign carved on the Box 13 roof** (Rooftop Symbol, Session 3): an upward arrow/triangle crossed by an X over a W/M base. **Everyone who looked at it had to make a Sanity check.** The first time the team has hit the symbol as a **sanity-affecting object** here in New York — the Dallas roof carving and the Manhattan airshaft napkin are the **same mark**, hidden behind a grate in the building's air system.
Notes
- Connects the McAllistor Building directly to Box 13 HQ via the Rooftop Symbol — and to the paper dragon and the gold-ink symbol in the case file.
- Hidden in the airshaft (marked on every floor of the floorplan) — the air system may be how the symbol/night floors thread through the building.
- Identified Session 5 as the Yellow Sign — it matches the mark stamped on The Red Book (The King in Yellow).
- Distinct from the Purson seal (a Goetic sigil): the case carries two mythos systems — the King in Yellow (this sign) and the Goetic (Purson, Seere).
